Tanzaania is located in Eastern Africa bordering the Indian Ocean between Kenya and Mozambique. Tanzania gained independence from the British in early 1960. It merge with Zanjibar in 1964.Though among poorest countries of the world, it has achieved growth due to gold production and tourism.In 2008, Tanzania received the world's largest Millennium Challenge Compact grant, worth $698 million.
