Nirbhay Missile Fails






Nirbhay, developed by Aeronautical Development Establishment (ADE), a Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) laboratory based in Bangalore, is a medium range sub sonic cruise missile. Today , its maiden test flight from Chandipur ( an integrated test range in Odisha) failed.

 The surface-to-surface missile was said to have the capability of being launched from land, sea and air with good loitering capability and excellent control and guidance.

    Nirbhay is stated to have a strike-range of around 1,000 km
