Look East Policy
The policy was enacted by PM PV Narsimha Rao in 1991 and pursued thereafter by successive governments.
This policy is an attempt to get closer to our eastern neighbours and have deeper economic cooperation with them.

being member of the various organisations like ASEAN, BIMSTEC,CECA etc is the initiative by india in this direction.and we have very good relations with the associated countries to promote trade, economic development etc.....
