Tajikistan


A mountainous landlocked country of central Asia, which fought bitter civil was for 5 years after its independence in 1992. economy of the country is now stabilised by foreign aid and domestic production of cotton, aluminium and uranium.

Most of the population is persian speaking Tajik ethnic group.

It is a land of strategic importance as it has 1400 km of porous borders with Afghanistn, borders with China and a narrow strip close to Pakistan Occupied Kashmir.
