Celebrated in Assam to mark onset of spring season and onset of Asamese New Year, Rongali Bihu or Bohag Bihu starts on 14-15 April and continues for seven days.
Rongali Bihu is very popular among young men and women and Bihu dances are also a call to celebrate their fertility.
