Indian Soldiers Supreme Sacrifice

Five Indian soldiers including a Lt Col did the supreme sacrifice on UNMISS mission, while deployed in South Sudan.Lt Col Mahipal Singh was leading his troops in trouble ridden Jonglei region, whn the rebels attacked their convoy near Gumruk.

India is a major contributer of troops on Peacekeeping mission around the world. Apporx 7000 soldiers are depoyed in UN Peacekeeping operations in Lebanon, Syria Israel border and in Africa.
