A 134 km long and 5 km broad lake, which freezes completely during winter despite being saline. Line of Actual Control passes through the lake.60 % of the lake is on the Chinese side.Located at height of 4350 meters, it gets pretty cold in winter ( temperature falling to minus 50 Celsius). The area is being guarded by ITBP.
