Officials of the city  of Yokohama erroneously announced on twitter' North Korea has launched a missile .....' with blank space to fill the exact time. @yokohama_saigai has 40000 followers. The tweet was retracted 20 minutes later.

Twitter is wildly popular in Japan, where the ideograph and pictograph-based language is well-suited to the 140 character limit, allowing much more information to be imparted than alphabetic languages like English.
