A 1748 km high speed rail along east coast connecting connecting Brisabane, Sydney, Canberra and Melbourne is being played down by the Government.Proposed to run at 350 km, it would have airline type seating and provided with computers. One can cover Sydney-Brisbane or Sydney-Melbourne in 3 hours. Cost of the project is around 114 billion $ and completion by 2053 at earliest!
