Chinese Aircraft Carrier Liaoning

It is the first aircraft carrier commissioned into PLAN(People Liberation Army Navy). The carrier was originally procured from Ukraine when USSR  broke.It ia multirole aircraft carrier and  was Admiral Kuznetsovclass  carrier Riga for the Soviet navy. It was renamed Varyag in 1990. acquisition of an aircraft carrier give the PLAN a blue water capability.
