Snowden's whereabouts in Russia is not publicly known after Russia granted temporary asylum . This has strained relations between US and Russia. President Obama has said that he is disappointed and he accused Russia of occasionally adopting cold war mentality. However high level talks between US and Russia will go ahead despite the asylum issue.
