Daocheng Yading Airport in Tibet Autonomous Region is going to be the world's highest airport ( 4411 m). It is under construction in Garzi Tibetan Autonomous Perfecture in Sichuan province.
China has already constructed five airports at Gongar, Lhasa, Bangda ( 4334 m), Xigaze and Ngari in Tibet Autonomous Region.
