Primates are a subgroup of mammals. They are characterised by body hair, longer gestation period following birth ( baby of a horse almost start jumping immediately after birth, but a human takes about a year to walk), mammary glands, different types of teeth for various functions in eating and the ability to maintain a constant body temperature.
