Krishna-Godavari Basin, in 50,000 square kilometres in the Krishna River and Godavari River basins in Andhra Pradesh. The D-6 block where Reliance Industries discovered the largest natural gas reserves in India in 2002, is in the news for for producing less than the targeted natural gas and Govt imposing a fine of Rs. 3,475 crore on Reliance Industries.
