Quneitra, is the only border crossing between Israel and Syria, is in the news. Withdrawal of 380 Austrian Peacekeeper is sending worries to Israel .
Quneitra , a valley near Golan Height, was a key position and captured by Israel in 1967 war. Syrian regained it initially during 1973 Arab Israeli War , but again Israel got control of it and retained it under them till 1974 . the city was completely destroyed before Israeli withdrawal.It now lies in demilitarised zone between Syria and Israel.
