General Abdel Fattah al-Sisi , commissioned in Mechanised Infantry 1977, is chief of staff of Egyptian army . He replaced General Mohamed Hussein Tantawi in 2012, who was longtime Mubarak's defence chief and country's interim ruler in transition period. He is also Minister of Defence and Military Production.
