Established in 2002, at a cost of $ 1 Billion, it was used by the US as a detention and interrogation centre for prisoners captured worldwide in America's global War on terror.
The camp is in news , when about 100 detainees are on hunger strike and being given enteral feed.The prisoners are protesting against their extrajudicial incarceration for indefinte period.
