Popular in Jharkhand, West Bengal and Odisha, it is a tribal martial art dance. Mask forms an integral part of the dance.It is performed during regional festivals, mainly Chaitra Parva,lasting 13 days. Seraikella Chhau, Mayurbhanj Chhau and Purulia Chhau are three main types of Chhau.
