Nuclear Power Corporation of India Ltd (NPCIL) . Nuclear Power Corporation of India Ltd (NPCIL) generated 160 MW power at its first unit in Kudankulam Nuclear Power Project (KNPP). Unit 1 was synchronised with the power grid on 22 Oct. The first unit attained criticality for the first time in July 2013. Criticality is the beginning of the fission process.
