Buddhist heritage. There are 500 million followers of Buddhism across the world and about 900 Buddhist heritage sites scattered across India out of which 45 sites are mega Buddhist location. Bodh Gaya, Rajgiri and Nalanda has brought Bihar on 8 th spot so far as foreign tourists are concerned by attracting around 7 lakh foreign tourists per annum. Thus Bihar is ahead of Himachal Pradesh and Goa.
