Moscow Theatre Hostage Crisis

On 23 October 2002, about 40-5- Chechen armed rebel ( men and women) took control of   a crowded theater in Moscow. The terrorists ( masked men and women) drove through the hall by firing assault rifle and took about 850-900  hostages.

On third day,Russian special forces, Spetsnaz, pumped unknown chemical  through the ventilation system . All terrorists were killed and some 130 hostages died due to adverse reaction of the gas.

The rebels were demanding immediate withdrawl of Russian forces form Checnya and an end to second Chechen War.
