Contemporarising Tagore and the World

The book ' Contemporarising Tagore and the World' is a compiled edited  versions of papaer presented at Joint Indo-bangladesh seminar, which was attended by intellectuals, poets, authors. scholars from China, Japan, Russia, Netherlands, Serbia, UK and Argentina have also contributed inthe book. This was to commemorate 150th birth anniversary of Gurudev Rabindra Nath Tagore.

 Rabindra Nath Thakur anglicized to Tagore, was the first non European to win a Nobel Prize in literature in 1913. He was author of Gitanjali and many other books.He was knighted in 1915 but repudiated it in protest against killings at Jalian Wal Bagh in 1919.

Jana Gana Mana and Amar Shonar Bangla are national anthems of India and Bangladesh respectively composed by Tagore.
