HRD Minister MM Pallam Raju, who was a cadet himself, has given a go ahead to introduce NCC as an elcetive subjects , with credit points in schools and colleges which will help them in their further admission and career.

Pilot project will start in 30 autonomous colleges and once stabilised , it will be introduced in remaining 420 colleges of UGC.
