India's capital Delhi would be greener and cleaner and less congested on roads, as Delhi government has given a nod for mono rail project to start. Though it carries less passengers than Metro but it takes almost one third time less to complete the project. Mono rail can go to congested areas, where Metro possibly can not go. Metros are faster but not viable economically on lesser traffic density routes but Mono Rail can connect last station of metros to further ahead ( on a slower speed) But , our cities needs mass transit system so that more people are encouraged to use them.
No one likes to be hassled with driving , traffic and red lights, parking space, break downs traffic cop's tickets !
