Angdaan ( Organ Donation)
Speed thrills but kills ! There have been far too many cases of 'brain death' where cadaver organs could have been utilised ( if already pledged or pledged within a very short time by the near relatives) or availability of transplant and organ storage facility within reasonable distance.
There is also a nee of spreading awareness on the issue. Far too many people can get a new life through organ transplant!
Cadaver Donation
Cadaver donation means donation of organs for needy persons. Transplantation of Human Organs Act 1994, accepted 'brain death' as death. thus allowing relatives to pledge cadaver organs. A single cadaver donor can give 37 organs and tissues and thus a new lease of life to seven persons.
There are many unnatural deaths or 'brain deaths' where patients heart is functioning with other physiological function going on as usual, can be used as donors for cadaver organs. Such transplant which need live donor can also be done with 'brain death ' type of donor.

Banner Drill at LAC
Showing of a banner is a standard operating procedure and is called the ‘banner drill.’ It is done when troops of the two sides come face-to-face due to differences on the alignment of the LAC or any other reason. Whenever either side perceives that a transgression has been made across the LAC, soldiers show a banner with a slogan painted across. The banner primarily cites the 2005 agreement and says there is a need to back off from the present positions of patrolling.
Before this incident, the system was working well. The mandate of the 2005 agreement is: “Throughout the face-to-face situation, neither side shall use force or threaten to use force against the other”.

Sumdorong Chu (S-C) - referred to as Sangduoluo He in the Chinese media - is a rivulet flowing north-south in the Thag La triangle, bounded by Bhutan in the west and the Thag La ridge to the north. On June 26, 1986, the Government of India (GoI) lodged a formal protest with Beijing against intrusions in this region by Chinese troops, that had occurred beginning on June 16. Beijing denied any such intrusions and maintained that its troops were in a location north of the McMahon Line (ML), while the official Indian stance was that the Chinese troops had intruded south of the ML.
